Vitex Combo is used in Herbal Medicine to help relieve symptoms associated with menopause, such as hot flashes.

Recommended Dose:

Adults: Take 1-2 capsules two times daily. Not to be taken immediately before bedtime.

Duration of Use: 

Use for a minimum of 3 months to see beneficial results. 

Cautions and Warnings:

Consult a health care practitioner before use: if you are taking hormone-containing medications such as progesterone preparations, oral contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, heart medications, or antidepressants; if you have diabetes, a heart condition, or a liver disorder; if you are taking other herbs containing thujone (e.g. wormwood, sage, tansy, and juniper). Consumption with alcohol or other medications with sedative properties is not recommended. Consult a health care practitioner: if you develop symptoms of liver trouble; if symptoms worsen or persist.

Contraindications:

Do not use: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have bipolar disorder, bipolar spectrum disorder, or a seizure disorder (e.g. epilepsy); if you have diarrhea or hemorrhagic diseases; if you are taking anticoagulant medications; if you are allergic to plants of the Asteraceae/Compositae/Daisy family; if you are allergic to plants of the Apiaceae/Umbelliferae family (anise, caraway, carrot, celery, dill, parsley).

Known Adverse Reactions:

Hypersensitivity/allergy is known to occur; in which case, discontinue use. Discontinue use if you experience diarrhea, stomach irritation, uterine bleeding, headaches, irritability, or insomnia. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you experience breast pain, discomfort and/or tenderness.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal is broken. Store at room temperature.
