Chaga Tea is produced during a single extraction. When you extract in water you get approx. 30% of the elements you are looking for in the Chaga. The remaining elements are contained within the cellular wall, which cannot be accessed by water extraction.
When you then add the Chaga used in the water extraction and soak it in Grain Alcohol, this process weakens the cellular walls which gives you more elements of this amazing mushroom, you then get approx. 70% of the elements in the Chaga.
