Instead of harvesting directly from the tree, baobab pods are collected only once the mature pods have fallen to the ground during the dry season. Since the fruit pulp in the mature pod is naturally dry, minimal processing is required once the seeds are removed, thereby ensuring optimal nutrient and antioxidant integrity.
