"Over the past few years this label has consistently made available to
collectors, repertoire that the European suppliers seem determined to
ignore completely... repertoire that has never been on CD... at super-budget price" -
John Philips, Musicweb International, June 2005.
|
|
"One of the most enterprising and imaginative reissue
initiatives in recent years" - ROB COWAN,
Presenter, The Cowan Collection (BBC Radio 3)
|

The Australian Eloquence series is beautifully packaged according to a generic design with
stylish and elegant artwork. Every CD contains friendly, detailed and informative notes, largely
commissioned especially for this series.

The recordings stem from the archives of four great record companies whose logos are shown above
and have been lauded and applauded by critics and journals the world over, including International
Record Review, ClassicsToday.com, Musicweb International and
the various Penguin Guides.

Forthcoming Australian Eloquence releases for 2010-11

Rare L'Oiseau-Lyre recordings both old and new - The Melos Ensemble of London's complete Decca recordings; Raymond Leppard's recording of French Baroque music; and several from Anthony Rooley and The Consort of Music, including two of the most important anthologies of early music to be published: Musick of Sundrie Kindes and Le Chansonnier Condiforme.

Twentieth-century music releases include a disc of Britten rarities (John Hahessy, Pamela Bowden, etc), partsongs by Britten, Elgar, Delius (with Louis Halsey), music by Swiss composers Honegger, Martin, Geiger, Oboussier and Bloch as part of the ongoing Decca Ansermet Legacy, the much-requested Soldier's Tale together with all their remaining Stravinsky recordings with the Boston Symphony Chamber Players and choral and orchestral works by Holst, including several recordings directed by the composer's daughter Imogen Holst.
