12 December 2007

2008 sees the start of a systematic exploration of the bulk of Ernest Ansermet’s
Decca recordings. Around 50 CDs will be issued over a period of 12-18 months,
many of them making their first international appearance on CD. Check here for updates.

15 December 2007

In response to the widespread interest aroused by the above announcement of the Ansermet legacy on Australian Eloquence, the publishers have assured us that details of content will be revealed regularly through Buywell.

The first batch, to be released on 26 May 2008, will include the stylish Royal Ballet record (formerly released on RCA, now repatriated to Decca), the complete Ansermet Brahms output (including the German Requiem), the complete Ansermet Liszt recordings, the Magnard Third Symphony, the complete Ansermet Sibelius recordings and Rachmaninov’s Isle of the Dead.
