Harpist Marshall McGuire is the world's greatest champion of new music for the harp. His particular passion for 20th Century music is reflected in this 2-CD set which draws on recordings from two of his best albums including the ARIA Best Classical Album nominated Twentieth Century Harp. Featuring works by Britten, Hindemith, Takemitsu, Kats-Chernin, Part, and Brophy including many pieces written especially for him, McGuire's performances of the 20th century repertoire can only be described as virtuosic.
