Following the astonishing success of his first DG recital disc Live at Carnegie Hall - a sensational album that has sold more than 115,000 copies worldwide on CD and DVD - Lang Lang releases his new studio recital album entitled Memory, a handpicked collection of music closely linked to his childhood.

Memory reflects Lang Lang's journey from child prodigy to international pianist in his own right, grouping works by Mozart, Chopin, and Schumann that shaped his experience as a budding musician in China. Selections range from Chopin's third Sonata (which has been in Lang Lang's performance repertoire for almost a decade) to Mozart's Piano Sonata in C Major, a piece that helped reinforce Lang Lang's will to become a professional pianist after being harshly dismissed from a classroom at the age of 9.
