This collection is a long-overdue celebration of the exciting early years of David Hobson's classical career. He arrived on the operatic scene in the early 1990s to instant acclaim, and by the mid-90s was the most in-demand opera singer in Australia. The recordings on this collection come from that period. As David did not release his first solo album until 2000, the record-buying public has never before been able to collect recordings from these early years. This CD was made to satisfy the continuing demand for these recordings. Aside from the La boheme excerpts, all these recordings appear here on CD for the first time, joining an already illustrious discography of one of the most popular and admired opera singers ever to come from Australia.
