Ralph Vaughan Williams was one of the great English composers. The London Symphony of Vaughan Williams shows the achievement of a cohesive style, with the use of folksong and nationalistic imagery. Coupled with this remarkable and significant work is the first Piano Concerto by Chopin performed by the stellar young Polish pianist Ewa Kupiec, who makes her Australian debut on this recording, and the eternal favourite, The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas.

This double CD is among the first batch of releases in the new MSO Live series.
