This is the story of the most famous choirboy in the world, Aled Jones. Now 32, and a first-time father, Aled presents his first album in 15 years, simply titled, Aled. Seventeen years after his voice broke, and his pure treble transformed into a rich and expressive baritone, Aled returns to the music of his childhood. He has found his true expression with the selection on Aled: a mixture of hymns, ballads, classical and crossover songs. "This is the launch I would say of my new voice."

The album contains a collection of heart-rendingly beautiful sounds such as John Rutter's arrangement of classical favourite Pie Jesu, and Ave Maria. One highlight of the album is O Holy Night that has him dueting with himself as a boy.

Two years ago, Aled launched a career as a TV broadcaster, regularly performing on, and presenting the BBC classic programme Songs of Praise with an audience in excess of 8 million across the UK and Australia.
