John Neumeier is ballet director and choreographer with the Hamburg Ballet.

The ballet Illusionen wie Schwanensee (Illusions like Swan Lake) moves the original scenario of Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake to the end of the reign of King Ludwig II of Bavaria in the late 19th century.

Tchaikovksy's music is played by the Hamburger Symphoniker under the baton of Vello Pahn.

This is a film of the complete ballet. Seven cameras were used for the video, and the audio is produced in Dolby Digital 5.1. The film also features a documentation of the rehearsals.

The DVD is interactive.
