This album heralds in a new star.

An incredibly pure and simply angelic voice, Jane Sheldon's high soprano rings out like a bell, crystal clear. Her debut album shows her off in a collection of some of the most beautiful music for high soprano written, and she instills every one with achingly beautiful emotion.

Highlights include If by Michael Nyman (composer of The Piano soundtrack), a haunting, poignant track taken from the animated film of The Diary of Anne Frank; the Enya-like Scots Song; and a setting of Psalm 23 'The Lord is my shepherd', the theme song from The Vicar of Dibley. It also includes a lovely arrangement by Peter Sculthorpe of an Aboriginal melody, Maranoa Lullaby as well as the haunting theme from Silent Witness

Guests on the album include soprano Sara Macliver (of Brightest Morning fame) who joins Jane in two duets - the incredibly beautiful Spiritu, reminiscent of the famous 'Flower Duet' from Lakme (think the British Airlines commercial amongst others) and the equally renowned 'Pie Jesu' by Andrew Lloyd Webber which became popular in the mid-80s.
