Stray Dog Waltz and other stories is the second CD release from Australia's premier Salon Ensemble and follows on from their first album Wordless Meanings on the Move Records label.

The electic mix of waltzes, tangos and other delights meanders through ethnic influences from across Southern and Eastern Europe and South America.

The centrepiece of the album is the Stray Dog Waltz, which recalls the smoke filled cafe of pre-revolutionary St Petersburg - a seedy basement where poets and futurist musicians drew inspiration from one another.
