Australians at War is the largest and most important documentary to air on the ABC for many years. This massive project is a collaboration of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Beyond Productions and the ABC.

This landmark 8-part series chronicles all the wars and conflicts of the last century - from the Boer War to the two World Wars to Vietnam and Korea through to the current United Nations operations in East Timor.

All of the original music for the series, including the symphonic score, has been composed by film music composer Roger Mason.

In addition, the soundtrack album also contains some songs of the War years and many soldiers' songs recorded especially for the series by James Blundell.
