Deborah de Graaff is a founding member, and artistic director of the chamber music ensemble KV Inc Ku-ring-gai Virtuosi Inc). KV Inc was formed with her mother, contralto Lauris Elms in 1994.

The 1983 national winner of the ABC's Instrumental and Vocal Competition, Deborah performed the Françaix Clarinet Concerto with the Sydney Symphony and West Australian Orchestras. She participated in International Congresses and Competitions in Munich and London. In 1987 she was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Scholarship. She is currently Lecturer in Clarinet at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
