Carols from the Old World and the New.

The Imogen Children's Chorale is named after the English conductor, composer and music educator, Imogen Holst. Since its foundation in 1987, the choir has gained a reputation for a characteristic warmth and sweetness of sound and for its ability to perform with equal charm and vitality in a wide range of choral styles.

Choristers' ages range from nine to seventeen years, and sing in original languages an extensive repertoire which includes Early and Renaissance music, the Bach Motets, Oratorio, Folk music and a wide range of nineteenth and twentieth century incidental music. They are perhaps best known and loved for their performances of Benjamin Britten's works for children - the Missa Brevis in D and Noye's Fludde, and especially their traditional performance of his A Ceremony of Carols at St John's Cathedral in Brisbane every Christmas Season.
