The Macquarie Trio was founded in 1993 as trio in residence at Macquarie University in Sydney. It is a unique and truly Australian ensemble, in that its members reside not in one city, but some ;3,500 milometres apart, gathering regularly throughout the year for rehearsals, recordings and performances, festivals and tours. The Trio has enjoyed resounding accolades since its inception.
